Accessibility statement
Millenium Medical Group is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. This statement describes what has been built and where we know more work is needed.
The standard we design to
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Those guidelines are the internationally recognised benchmark, and they are also the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act for web content.
What has been implemented
- Semantic structure. One H1 per page, a logical heading hierarchy, and landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer) so assistive technology can navigate by structure.
- Keyboard operation. Every interactive element — navigation, mega menus, mobile drawer, accordions, tabs, carousels, forms and modals — is fully operable by keyboard, with focus trapped inside dialogs and returned on close.
- Visible focus. Focus states are never removed. A high-contrast outline plus a focus ring is applied consistently.
- Colour contrast. Body and heading text meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background. Large text exceeds 3:1.
- Not colour alone. Form errors, statuses and selection states are communicated with text and icons in addition to colour.
- Form labels. Every field has a programmatically associated label. Errors are linked to their fields and announced.
- Touch targets. Interactive controls are at least 44×44 CSS pixels.
- Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt text. Decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
- Motion. Animation is subtle, and all of it is disabled automatically when the operating system requests reduced motion.
- Skip link. A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page.
- Resizable text. Layout is built with relative units and reflows without loss of content up to 200% zoom.
- Multiple languages. Language attributes are set, and translation is planned as separate URLs rather than mixed-language pages.
Known limitations
- Embedded third-party map frames are provided by a third party and are outside our direct control; equivalent address and directions text is always provided alongside them.
- Insurance logos are third-party trademarks. Where a logo cannot load, a plain-text plan name is shown instead so information is never lost.
- Spanish-language pages are planned but not yet published. Until they are, translated content is not available on this site.
- A full independent audit has not yet been completed. That is the recommended next step before launch.
